Corporate Opportunities

1. Corporate, Business, Finance Partners (San Francisco)
San Francisco office of one of the best-managed firms in the nation (no debt, compensation between $400K-$1M+ depending on book, outstanding Fortune 500 clients, etc.) looking to add depth and breadth. The firm’s chairman, who we work closely with, is playing a key role in recruitment. Book: $1M desired (may show flexibility).

2. Corporate and Business Partners (Los Angeles and San Francisco)
Having worked with this firm the last several years - we know them well. One of the relatively few firms that so effectively balances life style with bucks. Growing practice, reasonable rates, merit oriented system, no debt, yet some partners earn north of $1M. Preferred book: $1M (may show flexibility). Our client will look at up and comers with smaller books.

3. Corporate Chair and /or group
International law firm with growing Los Angeles office boasts a large Fortune 500 client base, a number of significant deals in play, effective cross-selling between various offices, a low key environment, hands off management style and major commitment requested. Book: $1M. May demonstrate flexibility for up and comers.

4. Corporate Partner (Los Angeles)
International full service well managed law firm with outstanding Asia Pacific franchise, dynamic intellectual property department, outstanding litigators and prominent corporate group would like to add critical mass to their California offices. Book: $750K (may be flexible depending on years practiced). (We are also looking for patent litigators, and business litigation partners).

5. Corporate Partner/Group
When we lunched with the firm’s chairman and met other senior partners, we were impressed by how effectively the firm has balanced touchy-feely people issues with bottom line profitability. While the Los Angeles office is relatively new, the firm’s 700+ lawyers, 100+ year history and very diverse client base shows attractive growth opportunities in California. While the highest compensated partners can earn north of $1M, others who are not yet at that level have not had to sacrifice quality of life issues. The opportunity for growing one’s practice on their nickel is excellent. Practice: Securities, M&A and general finance. The firm also has some interesting opportunities in the real estate and finance area. Desired book: $750K.

6. Corporate Associates (3-8 years, $160K-$235K+)
We are working closely with the corporate chair and /or managing partners of these firms. (a) "No Asshole" rule (b) these firms are extremely busy, despite the slow down. While some may screen candidates a little closer, all are in growth modes (c) most offer reasonable partnership tracks (7-10 years). Desired: a track record of accomplishment, strong interpersonal skills, excellent credentials, 3-10 years experience.
